Thir13en Ghosts (2001)
A rich man dies and leaves his estate to his nephew and two children. When they go to investigate the home, they find out that it's made of glass and contains 12 super violent ghosts. The house is designed to open the Eye of Hell unless the new homeowners can figure a way out. (read more)

OK, let's get the main criticism out of the way first: Why is it, after all the ghosts have left the house, that no one thought to go back and get the money?
Yes, that is about the only criticism of the movie I could come up with. I wasn't expecting some quality film, I was just looking at a fun movie that entertained me...

This movie is terribly implausible and a waste of some really good talent, from my favorite Matthew Lillard to the normally enchanting Embeth Davidtz to the wonderful Tony Shalhoub.
Based on a man who donates his booby-trapped house to a widower and his children, the house is set to hold 13 of the craziest ghosts inside....

Thirteen Ghosts is a remake of the 1960's classic. The remake contains more gore, scares and a cooler, more visual hour and a half. There are moments in which will scare you, make you think, close your eyes and make your jaw drop to the floor.
