X-Men 2000

From Amazon: In a time when race and religion don't separate people, but extra powers and mutated characteristics do, two longtime friends, Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) part ways, only to become rivals over the issue of how much patience they should have with "normal" people. Living lives that scare most humans lacking the "X-factor" (a special power such as telekinesis), they fight over changing the general population into mutants. They take what parts they want from the actual comic book stories and then fabricate another worthless, boring Hollywood, overkill action story. The characters are off...

X-Men Movie Review by AJ (6/5/2006)

I love how smart Bryan Singer's X-Men movies are. The films are full of fantastic and unusual heroes, and include a villain that is essentially a living magnet, as well as one that eats a dove by whipping his tongue from across the room at it. Yet the world in which the mutants live is extremely believable, as Singer and...
