  Gladiator (2000)

From Amazon: A big-budget summer epic with money to burn and a scale worthy of its golden Hollywood predecessors, Ridley Scott's Gladiator is a rousing, grisly, action-packed epic that takes moviemaking back to the Roman Empire via computer-generated visual effects. While not as fluid as the computer work done for, say, Titanic, it's an impressive achievement that will leave you marveling at the glory that was Rome, when you're not marveling at the glory that is Russell Crowe. It had another 45 wins out of 75 nominations. It was obviously considered by many to be one of the most outstanding films of all...

Gladiator Movie Review by Christopher Thomas (8/28/2007)

We all know about Gladiator's great action scenes, but go back and take the time to experience how much is said in the silences.
Russell Crowe shows in his...

Gladiator Movie Review by Steven (8/28/2007)

Considering it has been a while since I ahve seen this film, I remember when I saw it, I thought, Ridley Scott had done better movies, and also Russell Crowe. I personally think Crowe should have won the Oscar for "The Insider", not "Gladiator"

I know some people comapre this film to Mel Gibson's "Braveheart". ...
