Dammit, I wasn't supposed to like this movie. From the get-go it seemed as if it was just going to be another hokey vampire movie with too many young actors posturing around, trying to recapture the fun young actor feel of THE LOST BOYS.

normally, as a rule, i dont like vampire movies. i never got into the genre. but i really like this movie. it has a wonderful cast, and a different approach than most movies of a similar genre. plus, it has an interesting script, with some really good lines (NIGHTSHADE: "I'm sorry man, I don't seem to know whats got into...

Not so scary, but cool atmospheric horror and a decent cast make for a fun vampire movie. It would have been good, though, if the script had avoided overuse of catch phrases and combacks (which seem to have become the bane of horror and action films since the heady days of Schwartzenneger's stardom).
