When I first heard of this movie, it was in 2001 upon its DVD release. I was sketchy about watching it for two reasons. I was only 11 years old and I wouldn't have appreciated it to its full extent and it seemed to be boring. Let me say first that I'm Danish/American. Many non-American directors can make movies that capture the essence of America so well you would never know they weren't born and raised here.
