The Green Mile (1999)

In 1935 Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) is the head guard of The Green Mile, a prison for inmates on death row. A new inmate named John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) comes to the prison accused of murdering and raping two little girls. While Coffey is waiting for his execution date the prison guards learn that Coffey has special powers of healing and that he might be a servant of God. The screenplay was written after a Stephen King novel and includes an all star cast.
