The funny thing is that line is spoken by a man. This is a great example of how you can develop a relationship with someone and simultaneously love and loath them. The best PI in the world, Daryl Zero is a nutjob who's too afraid to leave his house and quite possibly has never had any emotional human contact. He works with a representative (aptly played by Stiller) who does the speaking for him and then he does the hard work quietly behind the scenes.
