Sliding Doors (1998)

Nice concept, shaky execution--that about sums up the mixed blessings of British actor Peter Howitt's intelligent but forgivably flawed debut as a writer-director. two quick pieces of information: i really don't like Ms. Paltrow and i generally do not like modern "chick flicks".
that said... this was still a pretty darn entertaining movie. perhaps it is because i too feel schitzophrenic (sp?) most of the time... but for whatever reason, this movie "spoke" to me...

I admit, the only reason I saw this movie was because I screwed up the time of the movie I wanted to see and there was nothing else playing at the theater when I got there. I don't have patience. Waiting two hours to see the movie I wanted was not an option, so I took a chance and went to see this one.
