Child's Play 4: Bride of Chucky (1998)
From Amazon:
Brace yourself: this is a clever, consistently entertaining, and even inspired continuation of the mean-spirited slasher series. For those not in the know, Chucky is a mop-top kid's doll come to life with the soul of a serial killer and the voice of Brad Dourif (doing his best Jack Nicholson). Revived by his former paramour Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly, looking every inch a life-size Barbie in stiletto heels and skintight black leather), Chucky proceeds to turn his human sweetie into a pint-sized Talking Tina doll with attitude, and together they hit the road for a magic amulet and young new bodies to inhabit. They hitch a ride with sweet young...

| Child's Play 4: Bride of Chucky Movie Review by Jarrod (10/5/2008) |

'Bride of Chucky' essentially started a new franchise, splitting almost entirely from its three predecessors, and taking Chucky's story in a new direction. Chucky: What would Martha Stewart say?
Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly): f*ck Martha Stewart! Martha Stewart can kiss my shiny plastic butt! I've spent all day over a hot stove, making cookies and making Swedish meatballs, and for what? A man who doesn't appreciate me! A man who can't even wash one f*cking dish! A man who isn't...

I don't think Ronny Yu was looking to make a scary movie, or at least I hope not as I found Barney and friends more disturbing. This movie is craptastic, Yu's attempt at adding a little comedy doesn't really help matters much.
So plot (don't get your hopes up it ain't that good); Charles Lee Ray's old girlfriend Tiff...

Easy on the kills, heavy on the laughter. Director Ronny Yu departs from the first three Child's Play movies and centers more on the romantic and even comical side of Chucky.
It's been about ten years since Chucky's (voiced by Brad Dourif) last reign of terror, and the doll mysteriously disappears from the police...
