God help Duvall, The Apostle is a hugely missed opportunity. Duvall's performance in the film as the Apostle E.F. is very good, and the film is filled with lots of little moments that, taken by themselves, seem to be very deep and meaningful (such as when E.F. yells at God). But, taken in the context of the ill-developed...
