I remember the Lost in Space episodes from the 60s. I think it was the
simplicity of it that makes it a fond memory. I was put off immediately
by the excessive "noise" of this attempt to recreate that magic. Just
because you have the ability to throw a bunch of FX into the mix,
doesn't mean you should.
OK, nostalgia...

I have no idea how they got such a great cast to participate in such a horrible, horrible, horrible movie.
There are some TV to screen adaptations that are kitschy ('Starsky and Hutch'), some that are actually good ('South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut'), but 'Space' was one of the worst crimes against the filmmaking...
