I love Kevin Smith for how he manages to make geek totally chic. With Chasing Amy, he's actually made a complex, deeply moving love story centered around several comic book creators. While the camera work and cinematography is obviously low-budget fair, Chasing Amy clearly proves that good story and great acting overcomes these deficiencies and easily shines through as Writer/Director Kevin Smith's best, even if it doesn't look as professional as his higher-budget, more recent, and better publicized...

very high in the Kevin Smith ranks. Kevin Smith proves yet again that there is a piece of subject matter that few to none have covered and he is able to go there and with masterful direction.
You often hear of those realationships that don't often work out, those romances that just aren't meant to be.

This is, without a doubt, Kevin Smith's greatest accomplishment. This should never be compared to his other films because this one is far superior. Unlike Clerks. or Mallrats, this actually has some poignancy and warmth. I'm not saying Smith's other films are bad, I love them actually, but they aren't good films like...
