Mars Attacks 1996

From Amazon: It's enlightening to view Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! as his twisted satire of the blockbuster film Independence Day, which was released earlier the same year, although the movies were in production simultaneously. Burton's eye-popping, schlock tribute to 1950s UFO movies actually plays better on video than it did in theaters. The idea of invading aliens ray gunning the big-name movie stars in the cast is a cleverly subversive one, and the bulb-headed, funny-sounding animated Martians are pretty nifty, but it all seemed to be spread thin on the big screen. On video, however, the movie's kooky humor seems a bit more concentrated....

Mars Attacks Movie Review by BillyBob (12/3/2012)

"We come in peace!"

Mars Attacks was a totally "cool" way for director Tim Burton to annihilate such despicable, big-name stars as Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Jack Black, Sarah Jessica Parker, Glenn Close, Michael J. Fox, and Martin Short (Phew! What a list of all-star casualties, eh?!) - And have a helluva lot of fun...

Mars Attacks Movie Review by Chris (11/1/2008)

'Mars Attacks' is certainly Tim Burton's most underrated and least known films to date. Zara is absoulutely correct when she states in her review that its funny because theyre are so many big name actors in here. When the USA satellites photograph many flying saucers coming to Earth, the American President James Dale has a...

Mars Attacks Movie Review by Gabby (1/28/2008)

This is one of those movies you can watch over and over again. I'm a huge tim burton fan. This movie consists of two of my favorite things, horror && Comedy! I happen to think it's awell rounded movie, having a great balance of everything in it! Although the voice of the aliens kind of get on my nerves, i can def look past...

Mars Attacks Movie Review by Zara (4/6/2007)

This is one of Tim Burton's underrated and mostly forgotten movies, funny considering just how many actors are in this. Burton was going for an ironic twist on being invaded by aliens, releasing this after INDEPENDENCE DAY had made such a big splash and the American public embraced the notion of killing bad aliens.

So he...
