Lone Star (1996)

This complex and rich film by John Sayles stars Chris Cooper as the contemporary sheriff of a Texas border town still under the sway of his late, legendary lawman father (Matthew McConaughey, seen in flashbacks). I worry about what the CSI must be like in the Lone Star state. People who trample through murder scenes, cops who seem to be satisfied moving at a snail's pace when trying to solve a murder (Hey, that weird looking blonde chick solves the decades old mysteries all the time and with the fervor of a crime newly committed!)...
