Fargo (1996)
From Amazon:
Leave it to the wildly inventive Coen brothers (Joel directs, Ethan produces, they both write) to concoct a fiendishly clever kidnap caper that's simultaneously a comedy of errors, a Midwestern satire, a taut suspense thriller, and a violent tale of criminal misfortune. Being a fan of the Coen bros. I admire all of their movies but my favorite has to be Fargo, what a truly wonderful film this is.
Mixing drama and comedy like no other movie I've seen, so this is both shocking and hilarious, violent and entertaining, and like usual with the Coens, the comedy lies in the characters...
