Ralph Fiennes as Almasy, Juliette Binoche as Hana, Willem Dafoe as Caravaggio, Kristin Scott Thomas as Katharine Clifton, Naveen Andrews as Kip, and Colin Firth as Geoffrey Clifton: no wonder this film won nine Oscars, and was nominated for two more.

A film of incredible beauty, both in sight and sound, and deftly filmed...

A long, boring book translated in a long, boring movie. What a shock that it is dull.

I am amazed that this film took home so many awards. It stuns me. Dull, dull, dull and not romantic at all.
