Tank Girl (1995)

The Year is 2033. Earth has been clobbered with a comet, civilization has been destroyed, and it hasn't rained in 11 years. Nearly all the water on the planet is controlled by the evil Water and Power company, which is in turn controlled by the even more evil Kesslee (Malcolm McDowell). Who stands in the way? Some mysterious mutants called the Rippers and, of course, Tank Girl. Lori Petty plays Tank Girl, the wisecracking, defiant heart of the movie, as kind of an inner child gone wild. Unfortunately Petty can't quite carry a movie on her own--her zingers frequently fall flat and she seems to be continually worried that we still like her....

I was interested in seeing this film after reading an abbreviated version of the comic in my copies of Details magazine (I still miss the old Details, back when they were more like Maxim and less like GQ). i never read the comics but if they are anything like this movie i bet they rock i mean this movie has everthing you could ever want action comedy kagaroo ppl and a musical number to boot lori petty was at the top of her game in this one(not that she could ever do wrong) ...its probbley not a movie for the older genaration...

This movie is strangely f*cked up in the best kinda way.....I've never read the comic book (or graphic novel to be PC) so I had know idea what the film was about, all I knew was that Lori Petty look pretty bad ass riding that tank and I had to see the movie.
Who else but Malcolm McDowell could you get to play evil...
