Showgirls (1995)

An infamous bomb when first released, Showgirls now vies with Mommie Dearest as a camp classic. Nomi Malone (Elizabeth Berkley) travels to Las Vegas with dreams of becoming a showgirl, but ends up working as a stripper where the patrons couldn't care less about her time-step (they're interested in a different kind of time ... and rate!). Kyle MacLachlan and Gina Gershon co-star.

Because this was an NC-17 movie, I distinctly remember having to produce my ID in order to be able to buy a ticket to it. Hyped up for months as being some fantabulous outing, I was interested to see what all the fuss was about.
It's a bad movie. It has lame dialogue, acting on the caliber level of a soap opera star and...

Other than some of the actors here who destroy the movie but you can't blame them, obviously they're just bad actors, I really enjoyed this film. You get used to the nudity, and it is too bad that when this movie came out and it was rated NC-17, the nudity was the main topic about the movie.
