Mr. Holland's Opus 1995

An earnest and at times overblown story of a music teacher's impact on those around him, Mr. Holland's Opus is at times a genuinely touching drama in the vein of It's a Wonderful Life. Richard Dreyfuss (Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind) plays an aspiring composer and musician who takes a job teaching music at a local high school to save money while he composes his music. Mr. Holland's Opus Movie Review by Tim (8/11/2009)

I caught about 20 minutes of this film several years ago but the burned copy of the DVD I had ended up being defective and I never got to finish it. I kept meaning to rent it so that I could finish it because I had kind of gotten into what I saw. Ahhhhh the wonderful world of downloading......
