  The Professional (1994)

From Amazon: Luc Besson (The Fifth Element) made his American directorial debut with this stylized thriller about a French hit man (Jean Reno) who takes in an American girl (Natalie Portman) being pursued by a corrupt killer cop (Gary Oldman). Oldman is a little more unhinged than he should be, but there is something genuinely irresistible about the story line and the relationship between Reno and Portman. The Professional Movie Review by Jessica Film Junkie (3/9/2007)

Luc Besson's masterpiece about a one-man professional killer who takes in a forgotten child and teaches her how to be like him.
Jean Reno gives colors to this character hidden underneath the gruff exterior and your heart breaks with how much he changes over the course of the film.
But, my god, Natalie Portman was a genius...

The Professional Movie Review by Mitch (8/22/2006)

I can't believe that I have never seen this movie! It's what, 12 years old now? It's the story of a hit man (Jean Reno - León) who saves a 12 year old girl (Natalie Portman - Mathilda) when her family is killed by a psychotic DEA agent (Gary Oldman - Stansfield). She wants revenge and asks him to train her to be a...
