The Lion King 1994

From Amazon: Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the...

The Lion King Movie Review by Filmkiller (11/4/2011)

I'm not a fan of talking animal movies, and I won't deny that Lion King loses some points on that conceit alone, but I loved Babe, so that's not the only thing about this flick that drives its value down.

This little loser (who can't see anything beyond the genre of horror) has actually sent me numerous "hate" comments pertaining to my reviews.

Because of...

The Lion King Movie Review by Jarrod (6/4/2008)

The limited two-week run of a 3D version of one of Disney's greatest animated features? It still looks incredible, but really no different from the 1994 original, which has a timeless quality matched only by the classics created by Walt Disney himself, including Dumbo, and Bambi, where generations grew up mourning the...

The Lion King Movie Review by Megan (2/5/2007)

Okay let us put aside the catchy tunes and the beautiful use of color shall we and get to the meat of this cartoon. (Which btw the way is why I was willing to give it two stars.)

Walt Disney did not like children and this is made clear from his very first (color) films. He was always putting something in there that...

The Lion King Movie Review by Melanie (2/1/2007)

There is very little not to like about this movie. When it first came out, I, like every other girl my age was in love with the "JTT" thing. This was an initial reason for drawing me to this movie. But everything else is what grabbed me.

This all star cast is an incredible mix that brings magic to an already beautiful...
