Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994)

The 1994 box-office hit that turned comedy maniac Jim Carrey into Hollywood's first $20-million man, this gag-filled no-brainer stars Carrey as the titular rubber-faced gumshoe who tracks down lost pets for his heartbroken clients. There were people who considered this very crass movie a family flick. I was working for a video rental store when it was first released on tape and was surprised at just how many parents would come in and pick this up for the entire family. Hell, these were the people that I couldn't convince to watch THE DARK CRYSTAL...
