I wish that I could have enjoyed this film more. I know that I was geared up to do just that. Written and directed by Cameron Crowe, the man that I had come to deeply admire for his writing ventures like FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH and directing skills with SAY ANYTHING.
SINGLES follows a croup of twenty somethings...

At the time it all seemed so fresh and so relevant to those grunged out Seattle years, however with age it just doesn't hold up that well. Crowe's script is amateurish and nowhere near as great as 'Almost Famous' (still his best movie).
The acting is so-so and rather difficult given the diary-face-to-camera explication...
