Over a decade before he was Batman, Christian Bale was leader of the 'Newsies'. When this movie came out, I was in the second grade. I remember begging my mom to let me stay up and watch it. Much to her reluctance, I finally broke her down. I loved it. I was just a little girl, but I fell in love with Christian Bale that night.
I have since grown up and I don't see the movie in the same way, but...
