Curly Sue (1992)

I imagine that Curly Sue is worse than I make it out to be. Even though I am no fan of John Hughes, I detected that this was quite less than what he is capable of (perhaps that's why this is currently his last film as director?). But there's a certain element to the film that kept me from hating it, and it certainly wasn't...

At the time it was funny, a tough little street urchin who talks tough, but is a girl! Oliver Twist with a...twist.
It is funny in parts with one of Jim Belushi's best roles ever and she is a heart-breakingly good little actress, Kelly Lynch is a bit dull, but I suppose it fits her role.
A good remembrance of the tough...
