  Drop Dead Fred (1991)

From Amazon: This not-quite-black comedy was probably a laugh riot on paper. The translation almost works, but the execution is flawed. Phoebe Cates is a recently separated young woman who suddenly begins to see her supposedly imagined childhood friend (Drop Dead Fred) after moving back into her mother's home. Is he a manifestation of her secret desires to ditch the boorish spouse? Or was he real all along? Rik Mayall is a limber, carrot-topped Brit with the lamentable assignment of trying to make us laugh with vulgar, sophomoric trickery. He is supposedly the repository of Cates's fastidious repression but is more annoying than cathartic. --Rochelle...

Wow, sadly over the years this movie has been forgoten about. It was one of my all time favorite movies when i was little and i still love watching it now. This movie triggers almost every emotion atleast once or twice i do believe. It's genius! I do believe it will always been one of my favorites.

Drop Dead Fred Movie Review by Jodie (5/6/2007)

I don't care what you think, Drop Dead Fred is a great movie! It is freakin' hilarious... DDF is one great imaginary friend and i wish he was my friend when i was little. He creates all kind of havoc and mischief for all he comes in contact with. I suggest you watch this movie if you are in need of a good laugh!!!

Drop Dead Fred Movie Review by Lisa (2/2/2007)

For those of you who are not familiar with the comic genius of Mr. Rik Mayall please allow me to bring you up to date. Rik Mayall is an English comedian responsible for in my opinion 2 of the funniest shows of the late 70's to early 90's with the "Young Ones" and later "Bottom".

In this film we see a somewhat tamed down...
