"The People Under the Stairs' is a weird but funny horror movie from Wes Craven, about a bizarre, sadistic couple (Everett McGill and Wendy Robie), who kidnap children and keep them in the basement, cutting out their tongues as punishment for their sins, at least what constitutes sin in the minds of crazy religious nuts...
