Grand Canyon (1991)

This murky rumination on keeping faith in our troubled times was an early sign that writer-director Lawrence Kasdan (Silverado) was losing his once-powerful grasp on the art of storytelling. I was really trying to think about every word in this film written by Lawrence and Meg Kasdan. and directed by Lawrence. It gets weird in parts, but it is the conversation that really makes you think.

Lawrence Kasdan as a writer and filmmaker reached his peak with this film.
Kevin Kline and Danny Glover give thoughtful performances as two strangers whose lives intersect and they begin to grow on one another. But the film doesn't really merely on there strong performances.
