In case you haven't noticed, I did indeed quit writing my fortnightly column, "Take Your Queue From Du." I wrote it for four years and enjoyed it very much, but it was time to focus on other writing projects and the classes that I teach (literature and composition at a small university in Joliet, IL).
In recent days, I've noticed that I have not been replaced, so my last column hangs in the ether as if I were simply a slacker . . . so I thought that since my log in still works, I'd best write a explanation and adios. So here it is.
I'm not writing a column anymore! I still like you! Goodbye!
A few more things:
You should definitely keep reading Dr. Karma's Wednesday column. She's my best friend, the smartest person I know, and has incredible hair.
Next, you should be following Matchflick on Twitter. Tim and I tweet (and I will continue to do that). I tweet about The Simpsons at Simpsonology. Also, you are welcome to check out my blog, Geek Magnet. (Recently, a "man's rights" site has discovered it and sending much hate my way, so I must be doing something right. I also wrote recently about a visit to The Simpsons).
Stay in touch with me on Facebook.

Every other Sunday
Semi-wholesome Midwestern girl and certified Geek Magnet offers her suggestions - often new, sometimes classic - for DVDs that are definitely queue-worthy.
9 out of 10 librarians think Denise is a hoot. The 10th one couldn't corroborate because she was dead.|
