I had a lovely column written on my laptop about a journey Du and I took to the Fox studio this month to see them record the voices for THE SIMPSONS. All I had to do tonight after I got home (well after 8) was to give it another proofread, upload it, and add the pictures.
The Marge Simpson Sound Stage
Naturally, the laptop has found a way to die in the last 24 hours in an as-yet mysterious way, and I've spent my time cursing and cajoling the capricious gods whom I assume live inside of it to no avail instead of rewriting the column. And now I'm out of time.
I apologize, my dear audience. Perhaps you will forgive me if you pity me. And you may pity me if you know I've already had to replace my desktop computer this summer AND my son's laptop (in addition to several other electronics big and small). (I'm also looking for a car--whether I find one before this one strands me on the side of the road is anyone's guess.)
I hope to recover the document before we meet again. If not, I will recreate it for you. Our SIMPSONS trip was amazing, and I so want to share it with you. 'Till then . . .

|Comedies with Dr. Karma|
Every other Wednesday
Dr. Karma discusses all things comic, from the classics to what may become classics. Laugh with, but not at, her, please.
Dr. Karma is a silly, nerdy know-it-all, but in a good way. She brings all her overeducation to discuss that which truly matters: comedy. As some famous guy once said: “And if I laugh at any mortal thing, ‘tis that I may not weep.” Or something like that.|
